Here's one for you. I would like to see a simple logic probe using only a couple of resistors, 2 LED's (one red and one green) and a SN74LS04 hex inverter from TI. Can it be done? I don't know, but it's gonna take someone with a little more knowledge than me...lol

I found a schematic that uses 3 LED's and some diodes. ill try to post a schematic later today

Ok. I'm a bit late, but here it is. Works great!

Actually, Yes I have. I built this and tested it. The Yellow LED will glow when not hooked to any input source. When a Low signal is input, the Red LED will glow, and when the signal is High the Green LED will glow. I did a step by step tutorial on how to assemble this on a breadboard for my class and submitted it to my professor. He shared it with the rest of the class and gave me some extra credit! SWEET!!!
